My Policy Goals
Public Safety
Public safety is my top priority, and I believe it must be approached comprehensively to truly protect and strengthen our community. That means supporting our police, fire, and EMS services while also ensuring our families have access to clean water, safe housing, and reliable medical care. To safeguard our long-term well-being, I will push for annual PFAs testing in our water supply, encourage innovation in affordable housing, and work to bring both a community hospital and more medical providers to Fountain. These are practical, locally driven solutions that reflect our community’s values of safety, responsibility, and smart investment.
Infrastructure & Public Transportation
Reliable, well-designed transportation is essential to everyday life, and it’s a core responsibility of local government to ensure our infrastructure meets the needs of a growing community. I support a practical, data-driven approach to improving our roads to reduce congestion and improve safety. We should also invest in better walking and biking infrastructure, especially near civic and commercial hubs, to make it easier and more affordable for families to get around while preserving our roads. I support modest, strategic improvements to our public transit system to better serve residents who rely on it. These are commonsense investments that reflect our values of efficiency, safety, and planning for the future.
Safe & Inclusive City for Young Families
Fountain should be the best place in El Paso County to raise a family, and that means making sure our city works for the next generation. With the majority of our population under age 50, it’s time for leadership that reflects the needs and priorities of young families. I support creating more “third spaces” like upgraded parks, family-friendly businesses, and vibrant community centers where neighbors can connect and kids can safely play. We should work with schools, churches, and local businesses to offer more youth and family programs to help parents manage rising childcare needs while giving kids safe, enriching places to be. I also support common-sense improvements to safety around schools and parks. These are not radical changes—they’re practical, community-driven solutions that invest in the future of Fountain by supporting the families who live and grow here today.
